How to Change Site Groups in the Home Page Dashboard?

This article applies to SharePoint Essentials Toolkit v6.1.3.0 and later

This article shows you how to change the default "My Group 1" group name in the Home Page Dashboard.

This also appears in the reports and can be used to organize your sites. Such as by environment type or migration status.

Step-by-step guide

Moving multiple Site Collections to another new or existing group

  1. Un-select any nodes that are selected by right clicking on one of the selected nodes, then clicking 'Unselect All'
  3. Now, select all of the root sites in the Site Collections you would like to move
  5. Right click one of the selected sites (highlighted blue) and select "Change Group"
  7. Enter the Group Name of a new group or an existing group to move these site collections to.
  9. Click Save
